Large Grants Programme
In addition to our regular small grants programme, the Trust will consider applications from local charities or health professionals, to support projects that will either provide health related support to disadvantaged individuals living with long term complex needs, or that will support a group of people with medical related support, or that has an element of health prevention.
Our grants criteria mean that projects must support communities with both a medical and financial need, who are resident within the boundary of Brighton & Hove.
Larger grants are typically between £1,000 and £10,000 and will be considered by the Trustees, once a year.
Our application window for 2025 grant applications has now closed and will reopen in June 2026. If you have applied for a 2025 grant, decisions will be announced by the second week of October 2025 with payments made shortly afterwards.
Examples of projects we have supported in the past include:
- Support for a hospice at home care programme
- Funding to support a charity providing specialist adapted bike rides for people with disabilities
- Support for an organisation providing counselling services to victims of domestic abuse.
- Support for a charity providing dental care to the homeless community
- Support for a charity providing podiatry to the homeless community
- Support for a family to source specialist medical aids for a child living with a long term medical condition
